Into The Wild Project
In this project we read the book Into The Wild by John Krakauer, which was about an adventurer named Chris McCandless. We learned about his journey to Alaska and his life as a tramp. In this project my group mates were Kristen, Abril, and Cameron. For Humanities we had to write many journal entries and do a lot of deep thinking to try and wrap our heads around Chris McCandless' rash decisions. We then created a beautiful journal that displayed all of our hard work and creativity. Throughout this entire experience we were learning new material in order for us to take a chance and survive in the wild. After we did a lot of digging, deep thinking, and writing in Erin's class we worked on all of our homemade equipment in Jocelyn's class. After all of that was finished we journeyed to the Anza Borrego Desert to camp and test our equipment for three days. My ITW journal is what am most proud of because I put a lot of hard work and effort into it. This project was amazing and I learned a lot, I wouldn't change anything.
This is the tent that I stayed in while we were in Anza Borrego.

This is a picture of a hammock that our Director, John Santos brought. I spent a lot of time reading here.
